Installing the SimpliLink Hub

The SimpliLink Hub ships with the latest firmware already installed. If you purchased the cellular version, the SIM card will also be pre-installed and activated.

If you need to access the SIM card, remove the DIN-rail mounting bracket by removing the three Phillips-head screws securing it to the device.

For cellular installations, attach the included 4G antenna before powering on the device. If additional signal strength is required, a compatible remote antenna can be used instead.

Device connectivity is accomplished via the 1000M ethernet port. This is the second port from the left.

To power the SimpliLink Hub, connect a 9–36 VDC power supply capable of providing at least 25 watts to the Phoenix power connector.

  • VIN — Positive (+) DC input

  • GND — DC ground (-)

DIN-Rail Mounting

The SimpliLink Hub includes a pre-installed DIN-rail mounting bracket for quick installation.

  1. Position the back of the device against the DIN rail with the mounting bracket facing the rail.

  2. Hook the lower tab of the mounting bracket over the bottom edge of the DIN rail.

  3. Press the top of the device toward the rail until the upper clip snaps securely into place.

  4. Gently pull on the device to verify that it is fully seated and locked onto the DIN rail.
