Scheduled Reports - Regularly receive e-mail or sms delivered reports


How to Set Up Scheduled Reports

SimpliScada includes a Report Scheduler that allows users to automatically receive reports on a repeating schedule. Scheduled reports can be delivered via email or SMS text message.

You can schedule the following report types:

  • Tabular Reports

  • Comparison Reports

  • Graph Reports

This feature allows you to automatically receive reports at regular intervals—for example, a daily report in your inbox each morning or a weekly report sent via text message to a colleague outside your organization.


Creating a Scheduled Report

1. Select the Report

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard screen.

  2. From the report/dashboard list on the left, select the report you want to schedule.



2. Open the Scheduling Tool

  1. From the report view, click the Download/Share icon in the top-middle section of the screen.

  2. Select Schedule Report from the pop-up menu.



This will open the Schedule Report configuration window.


Configure the Schedule

In the Schedule Report window, configure the following options:

  • Frequency

  • Schedule At

  • Report Delivery Method

  • Recipients


Frequency Options

Hourly

The report will be sent every hour, on the hour.



Daily / Weekly

Allows you to select:

  • One or more days of the week

  • A specific delivery time

Example:

  • Every Monday and Friday at 7:00 AM



Monthly

Monthly scheduling provides two options:

Exact Date

Choose a specific day of the month and time.

Example:

  • 5th of each month at 9:00 AM

Relative Day

Choose:

  • Week of Month: First, Second, Third, Fourth, or Last

  • Day of Week: Monday – Sunday

Example:

  • First Monday of the month

  • Last Friday of the month




Report Delivery Method

Select how the report should be delivered:

  • Email

  • SMS (Text Message)


Selecting Recipients

  1. In the Recipients field, click the ellipsis (three dots).

  2. A pop-up window will appear displaying:

    • Available Company Groups

    • Individual Users

    • Option to Add External Recipient



Selecting Internal Recipients

  • Check the boxes next to the desired Groups

  • Check the boxes next to the desired Users

Adding External Recipients

  1. Click + Add External Recipient.

  2. Enter:

    • Recipient Name

    • Email Address or Phone Number (depending on delivery method).



Managing Scheduled Reports

To view or manage all scheduled reports:

  1. Navigate to Settings

  2. Select Company

  3. Open Report Scheduler

You will see a list of all configured schedules along with management options.




Schedule Management Options

On / Off

Use the toggle switch to enable or temporarily suspend a scheduled report.



Edit

Click the pen icon to modify an existing schedule.



Delete

Click the trash icon to permanently remove the schedule.



View History

Click the clock icon to view the delivery history of the scheduled report.

The history log includes information about when reports were sent and delivery status.

Email Delivery

Recipients will receive an email containing:

  • A link to view the report online

  • An .xlsx spreadsheet attachment of the report
