Notification System Overview

SimpliScada is proud to introduce a flexible new Notification System designed to support complete alert workflows. This system enables advanced notification handling with features such as scheduling, automated phone calls, and timed status checks.

Notifications can include fully customized messages and may optionally provide recipients with a direct acknowledgement link—allowing alerts to be acknowledged and cleared without logging into the system.

Multiple notification workflows can be created and managed from the Notification Page, where each workflow can be enabled/disabled, edited, or deleted.

Notification Types

When creating a notification, select one of the following types:

  • Device Tag
Used for monitoring sensor values and PLC alarms.
  • Communication
Used for monitoring the status of the SimpliLink Hub and Controllers/PLCs.

Workflow Overview

Notification workflows are built using connected tiles. Each tile performs a specific function, and workflows progress from one tile to the next when defined conditions are met (e.g., a site going offline).

Tile Types

Start Tile (Trigger Tile)
Defines the trigger conditions for the notification. (only 1 start tile per notification workflow)

  • Communication Start Tile
