Connecting your SimpliLink Hub:
When you receive your SimpliLink Hub, it will already be flashed to the latest firmware, the sim card will be pre-installed, and it will be ready for connection to your existing hardware.
- Cellular: Ensure that either the included stubby antenna or an optional extended range antenna is connected to the antenna port labeled 4g (closest to the center) on the side of the hub.
- Data: Using an ethernet cable, connect the SimpliLink Hub (port closest to the center) to your PLC. Connect them either directly or through a switch, if connecting directly it may require a crossover type ethernet cable.
- Power: Using the included phoenix connector, connect the hub to a 9-36vdc power source with at least 25 watts of available power.
Once connected we will be able to validate your install and ensure that you are ready to move forward with your project.
